Junior/Senior Accountant/AR
Company Overview:
We are a well-known and established luggage manufacturer marketing and distributing our products through a variety of retail channels. Our company has an all-encompassing corporate culture valuing and rewarding individual’s initiative and creativity. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant with experience in the wholesale industry to manage and support our financial operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicing, payment processing, credit monitoring, and AR reconciliation. This position are located in our corporate office in La Palma, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Manage the full-cycle Accounts Receivable process, including generating invoices, processing payments, and reconciling customer accounts.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Perform regular AR aging analysis and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all AR transactions in the accounting system, SAGE 300.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and support customer inquiries.
- Process and apply customer payments (checks, wires, ACH, credit card, etc.).
- Prepare AR-related reports for internal stakeholders and management.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations related to AR.
- Assist with an accounting manager and CFO by providing ad-hoc reports.
- Report to an accounting manager and CFO.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or equivalent experience of 5 years
- Understanding and exposure to import and wholesale processes is plus
- Highly-skilled in Accounting software, Excel, as well as, modern ERP systems
- Wage range: $41,600 ~ $52,000
