Elevator Disco is a Los Angeles–based young contemporary women’s fashion brand known for feminine, trend-forward designs with a focus on novelty, prints, color, and special details.
We are seeking an experienced Fashion Designer with 5+ years of professional women’s apparel design experience to join our Los Angeles team. This is not an entry-level position.
Responsibilities
Design women’s apparel from concept through development
Research seasonal trends, silhouettes, colors, fabrics, and prints
Create CADs, flat sketches, and detailed tech packs
Develop dresses, tops, bottoms, sets, and other young contemporary categories
Select fabrics, trims, colors, and finishes
Review samples and communicate revisions to production and factories
Work closely with the Creative Director, technical design, and production teams
Manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional fashion design experience required
Strong experience in women’s contemporary or young contemporary apparel
Strong understanding of current trends and the U.S. fashion market
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Strong CAD, flat sketch, and tech pack skills
Knowledge of garment construction, fit, fabrics, and production
Experience working with overseas factories preferred
Wholesale fashion experience is a strong plus
