Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum 1–2+ years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of ocean / air freight forwarding procedures and freight-related systems or programs preferred.
• Bilingual ability in English and Korean preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, follow up, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Senior Operations Manager / Department ManagerThis is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations and supporting the CEO by ensuring that teams, customer accounts, and operational issues are properly managed and followed through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee overall freight forwarding and logistics operations, including team leaders and operations staff.
• Manage workload distribution, shipment progress, delays, holds, documentation, carrier/CFS issues, and escalated customer matters.
• Ensure management instructions, company policies, and SOPs are properly executed and followed up.
• Review operational performance, shipment volume, gross profit, productivity, recurring errors, claims, billing issues, and problem accounts.
• Prepare and review weekly operational updates and monthly performance reports, including shipment counts, profit, key issues, and improvement plans.
• Supervise team performance, training, accountability, and employee development; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support A/R and collection follow-up when operational release/payment instructions are involved, and escalate exceptions appropriately.
• Maintain strong compliance awareness for freight forwarding, CFS/bonded cargo, CBP-related procedures, ISF/AMS, and other applicable operational requirements.
• Take ownership of major operational problems and coordinate timely resolution before issues escalate.
• Serve as the management link between operations teams and the CEO; this role is focused on leadership, oversight, follow-up, and continuous improvement rather than simply processing individual shipments.
Senior Manager Qualifications
• Substantial hands-on experience in international freight forwarding / logistics; management or team-lead experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of import/export operations, ocean freight, CFS/warehouse coordination, trucking/drayage, documentation, and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, manage priorities, solve operational problems, and hold teams accountable.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Excel and operational KPI review.
• English required; Korean / English bilingual ability preferred.

Compensation
• Operations Coordinator / Entry Level: $25–$27 per hour
• Operations Manager: $60,000–$90,000 per year
• Senior Operations Manager / Department Manager: $90,000–$120,000 per year
• Final compensation is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and level of responsibility.
