Primary Duties
This is a key strategic role responsible for driving business growth while ensuring execution excellence across complex logistics projects, particularly in ESS and energy equipment sectors.
The role will:
· Drive project cargo business development leveraging HPC’s existing customer network (ESS, transformer, energy equipment)
· Take ownership of end-to-end execution for OOG and project cargo shipments (Especially Domestic logistics)
· Manage and control external execution partners including heavy haul carriers, rigging companies, and terminals
· Ensure execution quality, cost control, and risk management across all shipments
· Develop scalable operational processes and contribute to building internal execution capability over time
· This position will play a critical role in transforming HPC from a brokerage-driven model into an execution-driven project logistics platform.

Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial & Quotation
· Prepare competitive quotations for OOG / project cargo (multimodal)
· Support business development activities for ESS, transformer, and energy projects
· Participate in RFQ / bid process for project logistics
2. Execution & Vendor Management
· Select and manage heavy haul carriers, rigging companies, and terminals
· Control execution cost, schedule, and service quality
· Conduct route planning, permitting coordination, and feasibility checks
· Manage subcontractors and ensure execution performance
3. Operations & Documentation
· Arrange ocean bookings (breakbulk / OOG equipment)
· Manage inland transportation (heavy haul, escorts, permits)
· Prepare and review shipping documents (B/L, packing list, etc.)
4. Capability Building
· Support development of internal execution capability (linehaul / heavy haul)
· Standardize processes for OOG and project cargo operations
· Contribute to building HPC’s project logistics platform

Risk & Compliance
· Manage operational risks including cargo damage, route constraints, and permitting issues
· Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and port regulations
· Oversee cargo securing, lashing, and transport safety standards
· Support claims handling and insurance coordination
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
· 5+ years of experience in OOG, project cargo, or freight forwarding operations
· Hands-on experience in:
· Heavy haul trucking / permitting
· Breakbulk / OOG ocean freight
· Project cargo execution
Key Skills
· Strong commercial awareness (pricing, margin, cost control)
· Execution ownership mindset (not just coordination)
· Vendor negotiation and management skills
· Ability to operate in ambiguous, project-based environments
