Job Title: Staff Accountant
Pay: $60,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year + Full Benefits
Location: Gardena, CA
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: Senior Accountant / Financial Controller
Job Summary
- Prepare and post journal entries, including month-end accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and fixed assets.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and investigate variances.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and vendor payments.
- Conduct monthly P&L and balance sheet analysis, providing clear commentary.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and audit/tax documentation.
- Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and ad hoc analyses or special projects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial accuracy and identify process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 0–2 years accounting experience (internship experience accepted).
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting controls.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability.
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas); experience with accounting software preferred.
- Clear communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
