Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to provide technical advice and support for our engineering products and services in Torrance, CA. This role involves resolving product or service requests and addressing technical or scientific issues faced by our sales force and customers. The ideal candidate will be a bridge between our products and those who use them, ensuring effective use of our solutions and fostering strong customer relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct customer visits for technical support as needed.
Provide technical assistance via email, phone, or in person, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Prepare and distribute documentation on product specifications and usage to enhance customer understanding and application.
Engage in test runs and trials based on requests from field sales or customers, providing necessary support and expertise.
Review customer documents like blueprints and plans for trial tests and provide machining suggestions.
Develop cost estimates and projections for customers’ use of proposed products to highlight potential benefits.
Recommend changes in equipment, processes, or materials to improve cost efficiency or operational effectiveness.
Offer technical services related to the use, operation, and maintenance of products.
Support and conduct technical training sessions for clients and sales personnel.
Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports to Supervisors or Managers.
Engage in continuous learning and sharing of information with colleagues regarding distributor interactions and experiences.
Assist in creating manuals and technical publications and in researching products and industry trends.
Monitor competitors and evaluate their products and activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
BA in Industrial Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and technical support experience.
2 years or more indexable cutting tools industry experience
Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is essential.
Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and respond effectively to inquiries.
Proficient in mathematical concepts and reasoning abilities relevant to the position.
Familiarity with database, CRM, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software; CAD/CAM experience (Siemens NX preferred).
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Occasional need to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
Regular use of hands and arms for writing and working.
Requires close and distance vision, color perception, and depth discernment.
Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and electrical shock risks.
Typically, the environment is of moderate noise level.
