We’re looking for a talented **Sushi Chef** who takes genuine pride in the craft—from the quality of the fish and precision of every cut to the balance, presentation, and consistency of the finished plate.
Our culinary program combines elevated dining with the energy and variety of a premium country club. Sushi is an important part of that experience, and we’re looking for someone who can bring skill, discipline, creativity, and consistency to the station every day.
What You’ll Do
* Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, rolls, and Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and consistency
* Demonstrate strong knife skills and proper fish fabrication, portioning, and handling
* Prepare sushi rice, sauces, garnishes, vegetables, and mise en place to established standards
* Maintain exceptional standards for freshness, flavor, temperature, and presentation
* Execute service efficiently while never compromising the quality of the product
* Maintain proper storage, labeling, rotation, and handling of raw seafood
* Keep the sushi station exceptionally clean, organized, stocked, and service-ready
* Work closely with chefs and the service team to maintain timing and flow
* Support special menus, member events, private dining, and unique culinary experiences
* Bring ideas and creativity while respecting consistency and established standards
* Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and seafood-handling procedures
What We’re Looking For
* Previous professional **Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook experience**
* Strong sushi preparation and knife skills
* Knowledge of fish, seafood quality, proper storage, and raw-product handling
* Pride in craftsmanship, cleanliness, and presentation
* Ability to execute consistently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and respect for ingredients
* Team-first attitude and willingness to contribute beyond your station
* Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events
* Food Handler certification, or ability to obtain it

Compensation: $28-$32
