Accounting Specialist – Radix Fire Protection, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA)
Company Overview

We specialize in fire sprinkler and alarm system design, installation, and service for commercial and residential construction projects. Position Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and integrity in managing financial data. Experience in the construction or fire protection industry is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice generation, reconciliation, payment processing, and collections.
•Handle construction billing and collections, including progress billings, retention tracking, change orders, lien releases, and client follow-ups.
•Ensure prevailing wage compliance, including certified payroll reporting, DIR uploads, fringe benefit allocations, and maintaining accurate documentation for audits and reporting.
•Support job costing, project billing, and month-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations and expense tracking.
•Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate job accounting.
•Support payroll, vendor communication, and other accounting-related administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
•2–3+ years of accounting experience (construction or fire protection industry experience preferred).
•Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
•Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar software; strong Excel skills preferred.
•Knowledge of prevailing wage laws and certified payroll processes is highly desirable.
•Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Work Schedule & Compensation
•Location: Near Downtown Los Angeles (on-site).
•Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
•Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually (commensurate with experience and skill set).
•Benefits:
