Job Description
· Greet and attend to customers entering the store
· Scan goods for price checks and accuracy
· Process cash and credit payments
· Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
· Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges or store credits
· Resolve customer complaints
· Assist customers in locating items
· Report items that are running low and items requested by customer (that we may not carry)
· Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
· Cross- train and assist in other duties outside of the cashier role when necessary
Job Requirements
· Demonstrate a friendly, customer-first attitude
· Proactive, energetic and efficient approach to work and resolving problems
· Conduct oneself with honesty and integrity at all times
· Ability to read and understand instructions
· Ability to efficiently add, subtract, multiply, and divide
· Proficiency operating a cash register
· Learn the store layout and where to find products
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
