Placentia - ENTRY LEVEL PROJECT COORDINATOR/PROJECT MANAGER – Construction
We are seeking an entry level Project coordinator/Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner within budget.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Coordinate with subcontractors and client to schedule work
• Oversee project/ job site from beginning to an end
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Review specification and plans and prepare cost proposal
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Hire subcontractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Supervise the work, job site, and guidance when needed
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Requirements and skills
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational/coordination and time-management skills
• A team player with leadership abilities
Required Qualification:
• Fluent in English and Korean
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to be highly organized with great attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
