SUMMARY & OBJECTIVE
This position is responsible for HR-related duties, including benefits administration, training, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and payroll. It supports the organization’s mission and values through effective HR practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
HR Administration
• Implement and administer HR policies, including compensation and benefits programs.
• Manage benefits enrollment, termination, claims resolution, and communicate benefit information to employees.
• Provide health insurance guidance and enrollment for eligible employees. Handle annual health insurance renewals and update Paychex accordingly.
• Manage 401K and profit-sharing plans, including onboarding new participants and coordinating distribution processes for departing employees.
• Update employee handbook as needed.
Payroll
• Administer semi-weekly payroll for 50-60 employees using Paychex.
• Correct timecard discrepancies and manage PTO tracking.
Recruiting & Onboarding
• Create and post job descriptions, review applicants, and conduct screening calls.
• Participate in interviews and make hiring decisions for the installation team.
• Manage new hire onboarding, including I-9, W4, background checks, and equipment setup.
Employee Relations
• Handle workplace injuries, workers’ compensation, and employee relations issues.
• Conduct investigations, recommend solutions, and oversee job evaluations.
Administrative
• Manage internal communications, including policy updates and employee announcements.
• Organize personnel files, manage HR documents, and assist in company events.
• Stay current with CA employment law and HR trends through webinars or training.
• Conduct exit interviews and prepare final paychecks.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of HR experience, with at least 1 year as a Generalist or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Psychology, or related field.
• Ability to maintain complete accuracy of all records with attention to detail and data integrity.
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including grammar and spelling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage projects and interface with all levels of the company.
• High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
• Professional appearance and conduct, with the ability to participate effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
** Pay : $27 - $32/Hour depending on experience
