Senior Product Designer
Location: Pico Rivera, CA
-Description-
We are looking for a creative team player, who can work alongside the Anirollz Brand team and independently to design appealing Graphics and Products from concept to market with an advanced skill set.
-Duties-
Concept Development:
- Develop innovative and creative concepts for Anirollz new plush toy designs.
- Collaborate with current product development team to brainstorm and create unique, marketable plush toys.
Design Execution:
- Create detailed sketches, 2D models, and prototypes of plush toys.
- Create professional-quality, vectorized product design files for factories to utilize in producing Anirollz plush toys and products.
- Ensure designs are feasible for production and meet cost and manufacturing constraints.
Material and Fabric Selection:
- Select appropriate materials and fabrics for plush toys to ensure quality, safety, and durability.
- Work closely with factories to source and utilize materials for plush toys.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, buyer preferences, and competitor products.
- Analyze market data to inform design decisions and ensure the product's marketability.
Technical Specifications:
- Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation for manufacturing.
- Capable of providing guidance on PPS and construction comments. Requires expertise in the sewing process.
- Ensure all designs comply with safety compliance and regulations.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and quality assurance.
Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure final products meet designs and specifications and quality standards.
- Address any design-related issues that arise during the production process.
Trend Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and market demands.
- Incorporate the latest trends and innovations into plush toy designs.
-Requirements-
- 5+ Years of Experience in Graphic Design/Product Development/Toy Production/Relevant Field
- Portfolio of Completed Projects that entered the market and Examples from the Design Process (Concept Sketches, Rough Design, Final Design, File Setup Screenshots, Etc.)
- BFA in Digital Media/Graphic Design/Product Design/Toy Design
- Experienced with Pre-Production Process (Drawing, Creating Concepts, Prototyping, Etc.)
- Experienced with Soft and Plastic Goods
- Experienced with Printed Materials (Print-Ready File Setup, Mounting Small Projects, Etc.)
- Experienced with Branding (a plus)
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Etc.)
- Intermediate/Advanced skills Google Apps (Drive, Calendar, Etc.)
- Proficient in Task Managing Programs (Wrike, ClickUp, Etc.)
- Actively researches and stays updated with current Character License Industry and Relevant Market
- Understands Product and Toy Safety Regulations for US Market
- Strong Attention to Details, Organization, and Time Management Skills
- Strong Communication Skills Online & Offline
