  2024년 7월 1일부터 캘리포니아 주에서는 새로운 법(AB 12)이 시행되어, 보증금(디파짓)이 Funiture 를 갖추었는지  유무에 관계없이 한 달 치 렌트로 제한되었습니다.  이 법은 2023년 10월에 Gavin Newsom 주지사가 서명하면서 제정되었으며, 기존 규정에서는 가구가 없는 경우 최대 두 달 치, 가구가 있는 경우 최대 세 달 치까지 보증금을 받을 수 있었으나, 이제는 변경되었습니다.
