Job Title: Sr. HR Manager
Job Type: Direct Hire (정규직), Full-time
Location: Houston, TX (On-site)
Pay Rate: $100,000 - $130,000 / year

Position Summary:
The Senior HR Manager will play a critical role in building and structuring the U.S. workforce from the ground up. This role will lead all human resources functions at the site level while collaborating closely with global HQ in South Korea to align policies, culture, and operational standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on HR leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments and thrives in fast-paced startup settings.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Organization Building
• Establish and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems for newly launched U.S. operations
• Build organizational structure, job classifications, and workforce planning aligned with business growth
• Partner with executive leadership and global HQ to align HR strategy with company objectives
Recruitment & Talent Management
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for production, engineering, logistics, and administrative roles
• Develop hiring strategies to support rapid scaling and operational readiness
• Support onboarding, orientation, and training programs for new employees
Employee Relations & Performance Management
• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR matters
• Oversee performance management, coaching, discipline, and corrective actions
• Handle employee grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution professionally
Compliance & Labor Relations
• Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, Illinois state labor laws
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
• Support audits, inspections, and legal inquiries as needed
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
• Manage compensation structures, benefits programs, and employee communications
• Coordinate benefits administration and vendor relationships
• Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely processing
Culture & Global Collaboration
• Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture that integrates Korean HQ values with U.S. labor practices
• Support cross-cultural communication between U.S. teams and global stakeholders
• Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree is required
• 10+ years of HR experience; HR leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environments is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Texas state labor laws, U.S. laws, and HR compliance
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a bilingual, multicultural, global organization
• Problem-solving, interpersonal, mentoring, risk management, and leadership skills
