Elevator Disco / Freesia is a trend-driven young contemporary women’s wholesale apparel company located in the heart of Downtown LA. Since 2018, we'Ve been creating stylish collections for a variety of national retailers and are continuing to grow.

We are currently seeking an experienced Import Designer with 5+ years of experience in the young contemporary wholesale market. If you’re passionate about design, love staying ahead of trends, and thrive in a collaborative, high-energy environment — this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

Design stylish, on-trend collections for the young contemporary market that align with our retail partners' needs.

Manage the full design process — from concept and fabric sourcing, tech packs, and sample approvals.

Communicate daily with overseas factories (primarily in China) to oversee sample development and revisions.

Collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure designs are both creative and commercially viable.

Monitor and track all stages of the design and sampling calendar.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in import design for women’s young contemporary apparel.

Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrication, and fit.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.

Clear communicator with excellent follow-up skills — especially with China-based vendors.

Passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of style.
