SEESAW Communities, a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through specialized training and community integration, is seeking a dynamic Education Director to lead and expand our innovative employment programs, Intro to Employment and VariSTAR. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our participants and requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about community development and education.

About SEESAW Communities: The name ‘seesaw’ is inspired by the playground equipment that requires at least two riders to function, symbolizing the balance and cooperation needed between individuals. This reflects the organization’s vision of creating inclusive spaces where people with and without disabilities can interact and enjoy activities together, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

Position: Education Director
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and expansion of our Intro to Employment and VariSTAR programs.
• Implement innovative strategies to enhance program effectiveness and participant engagement.
• Recruit and educate parents and community members about our programs and services.
• Build strong community relationships to further program goals.
• Manage program staff and volunteers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in nonprofit management, education, or a related field.
• Strong public speaking skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Experience in program development and administration is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of employment services for individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the field of education, including teaching and public speaking
• Experience working in a nonprofit setting, particularly in roles involving community outreach and parental involvement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.
