Seamax Freight International is an international logistics company with headquarters in Cerritos, CA. Seamax Freight International is seeking Accounting Assistant and both entry-level and experienced Logistic Coordinators.
Accounting Assistant - Full Time
Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Manager and the Operations Department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Issue check, ACH, and wire payments
- Reconcile bank accounts daily and monthly
- Research and rectify/restore accounting/documentation discrepancies and problems
- Manage online positive check and positive ACH
- Review and reconcile vendor’s statements
- Review and reconcile overseas agents’ statements and debit/credit notes to either collect or issue payments
- Follow up with vendors for any credits/refunds and AP inquires
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel and perform administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Min 2 years of Accountant working experience REQUIRED.
- Bilingual is a plus. (Mandarin or Korean)
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an AP accounting assistant
- Proficient with bookkeeping and computers
- Hands-on experience with financial reports and spreadsheets
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Intermediate level MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot table etc.)
- Accurate 10-key data entry skills
- Data entry
- Able to communicate effectively with others in English, verbally and written. Communicate on a regular basis
with overseas affiliates, other departments, vendors, management, customers, and other staff
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for this position
Education
-Associate’s Degree in Business or Accounting
Import/Export Logistics Coordinator - Full Time (Entry or Experienced)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctual, Detail oriented, professionalism is a must
- Bilingual Korean is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties but not limited to:
- Process and manage import shipments
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers as well as vendors
- Arrange and co-ordinate with customers for customs clearance and door delivery
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work well in a team environment and assist other co-workers when needed.
