Human Resources Specialist (Full-time/ Part time)
We are seeking a highly capable HR specialist to drive our people strategy, stabilize operations, and guide the organization through a critical growth stage. This role goes beyond administrative HR functions; it requires a strategic partner who can ensure compliance, develop scalable systems, and foster a high-performance culture in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s vision and business objectives
• Ensure full compliance with California and multi-state labor laws, tax regulations, and employment standards, proactively mitigating risks
• Build and optimize scalable HR operations, including payroll, benefits, performance management, and compensation structures.
• Strengthen employee relations by building trust, resolving conflicts, and driving engagement initiatives
• Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to support rapid business growth.
• Lead the employee discount sales channel
• Partner with executives to design organizational structures and support data-driven decision making.
• Drive compliance reporting, audits, and required filings.
Preferred Qualifications
Startup, e-commerce, or food distribution/manufacturing industry experience
Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years of HR management experience with proven expertise in both strategic planning and hands-on execution
• Bilingual in Korean and English
• Strong understanding of California and multi-state employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated success implementing HR systems and scalable process in high-growth or startup environments
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on building trust
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization with high levels of ownership and problem-solving skills.
