Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating all operations to achieve company and site objectives. The General Manager contributes to business results through effective leadership, planning and execution in the following areas: Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Administration. It is essential to be able to lead and mentor a team which consists of all levels of individuals, and drive standardization and consistency throughout all projects. This candidate is required to be aggressive with schedule commitments and deadlines. Successful candidates must be comfortable interfacing individuals at all levels of organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains quality of products by enforcing and improving organization and quality standards. Collaborates with staff to provide continuous improvements to policies and procedures.
• Ensures all company improvement plans, regulatory, external and internal, requirements are met.
• Drive accountability and continuous improvement through training, SOPs and workflows as needed to proactively improve quality, efficiency, and standardization.
• Develops a manufacturing strategy to optimize available resources to deliver the quality and quantity required.
• Represents the company and site in communications with Regulatory Agencies and other external agencies.
• Oversees the day to day management of the site – Production, Regulatory, Quality, and Administration directly and through subordinate managers and/or supervisors in a continuous improvement environment.
• Effectively retains, leads, motivates and develops employees. Builds relationships across departments to enhance employee engagement and build company culture.
• Drives Operational excellence through business automation, vigorous adherence to quality standards and utilization of best practices by facilitating communications across the Division.
• Assists CEO in developing strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives. Plays a major role in communicating values, strategies, and objectives to facility.
• Works effectively in a collaborative fashion with the CEO on all matters pertaining to ongoing operations in the facility and to long-term growth and objectives
Education and Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Science preferred
• Master’s degree preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and managing manufacturers/distributors, mainly for medical devices or equipment
• Bilingual: (Korean/English)
