DESIGNER
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Conceptualization: Lead the creative process by developing innovative and trendsetting designs that align with the brand's vision and resonate with our target audience.
- Trend Forecasting: Stay informed about the latest fashion trends, consumer behaviors, and market competition to guide design decisions effectively.
- Sketching and Rendering: Create detailed sketches, digital renderings, and mood boards to visually communicate design concepts.
- Fabric and Material Selection: Collaborate with the team to source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials for garments.
- Technical Specifications: Produce accurate technical drawings and specifications for pattern makers and production teams.
- Prototype Development: Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, ensuring designs are faithfully translated into physical garments.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with the quality control team to maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process.
- Market Feedback Integration: Gather and incorporate feedback from customer reviews and sales data to refine designs and improve product offerings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless product development and launches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Significant experience (5+ years) in women's fashion design, with a strong and diverse portfolio showcasing your design expertise.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- In-depth knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and pattern making.
- Exceptional creativity, innovation, and an eye for detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Salary: $80,000+ (Wages may vary depending on experience)
ASSISTANT DESIGNER
- Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
- Assist designers with sourcing fabrics, trim, etc.
- Keep up to date with current and latest fashion trends.
- Coordinate with sales, design and production teams.
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and be a team player.
- Document all illustrations, detailed layouts, design works and sheets for future references.
- Organize and maintain samples, files, linesheets and boards for each season.
- Multi-faceted, detailed-oriented, and highly organized individual.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion design.
Hourly Rate: $18-24 (Wages may vary depending on experience)
