We are seeking an individual who has knowledge in General Merchandise specified in Arts & Crafts and Gift items. As a purchaser, an individual with a keen eye on products from our overseas venders, mainly China.
Operations in Purchasing / Buyer
Responsibilities
* Researches of potential suppliers by product evaluations and
pricings.
* Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers.
* Compare and negotiate contract terms.
* Understand inbound logistics by tracking orders and ensure
timely deliveries.
* Understanding measurements and weights, counts, lengths and
widths.
* Monitoring inventory and fulfilling goods as needed.
* Coordinate with warehouse staff to track and to ensure proper
storages.
* Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with
industry trends by Sales Support with product knowledge.
Requirements
* Knowledge in import and export business in General
Merchandise in Gift goods.
* Good understanding of purchasing and sourcing practices.
* College degree in related field or 3-5 years experiences in
related field.
* Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Adobe and
QuickBooks.
* Must be fluent in English / Able to work in US.
* Willing to travel overseas when permitted.
* Ability to work Independently and as a team.
