생후 6개월 이상의 모든 사람에게 개량 (2차백신) 추가접종을 권장합니다.
단, 한가지 예외되는 경우가 있습니다.
화이저 백신으로 기본 접종을 이미 마친 생후 6개월~만 4세 사이의 어린이는
현재 추가접종(부스터)을 받을 수 있는 대상이 아닙니다.
특히, 만 65세 이상일 경우 추가접종을 받는 것이 중요합니다.
과거에 COVID에 걸린 사람도 추가접종을 받도록 권장합니다. 백신은 무료이며 건강 보험도 필요 없습니다
개량된 추가접종은 마지막으로 받은 기본 접종 후, 최소 2개월 뒤에 접종 받아야 합니다.
• 부작용은 기본 접종 증상과 유사합니다. 대부분의 부작용 증상은 경도와 중등도
사이이며 1-2일이 지나면 점차 사라집니다.
• 노바백스 부스터는 부스터 접종을 전에 한번도 받지 않았거나 화이저 또는 모더나
백신을 받을 수 없는 만 18세 이상일 경우 접종이 가능합니다. 기본 접종 후, 6개월이
지난 뒤에 접종이 가능합니다.
• 독감 예방 접종을 받을 때 동시에 COVID 백신을 맞을 수 있습니다

The U.S. Public Health Emergency (PHE) and the
National Emergency Declaration for COVID-19 ended on Thursday, May 11th.
- According to the World
Health Organization (WHO), COVID-19 is no longer considered a global public
health emergency. However, COVID-19 is still one of the leading causes of
death in LA County.
- We still need to use tools like
vaccines, testing, and treatment to protect our communities from the worst
outcomes of COVID-19.
- The LA County
Department of Public Health will continue to make sure all residents have
access to the tools they need to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our
communities.
Bivalent Boosters
This is the latest Booster. Only need ONE dose, and you are protected for
the rest of the summer. If someone hasn't been vaccinated since September, they didn't receive the Bivalent booster. This booster protects you from ALL Omicron strands, including the (XBB.1.16 is also known as “Arcturus.” It comes from the Omicron variant.) This booster is the updated Moderna/ Pfizer booster (Think of it like the updated flu shot that happens every year). If you or a loved one have difficulty leaving home to get vaccinated against COVID-19, you can request in-home vaccination.
There are several ways to request:
Call 2-1-1 or the Los Angeles County Department of
Public Health Call Center at 833-540-0473.
Also, testing kits will still be available for free through your insurance. For those that are uninsured, LA County will continue to prove it for free.

County residents, even though the national PHE has ended.
COVID-19 vaccines and treatments are still available at no cost.
You do not have to have insurance to get a vaccine.
And you will not be asked about your immigration status.
In California, insurance plans like Medicare or Medi-Cal must cover the cost of vaccines, testing and treatment through Nov. 11, 2023. Exact coverage may vary depending on your insurance plan.
