안녕하세요 apt rent payment 에 대해 여쭙고 싶습니다

제가 아파트를 이사한후로 2년 조금 넘게동안 $1250 에 살고 있었습니다

오늘 아파트에서 노티스를 받았는데 렌트비가 $1250 에서 $1500 으로 올려진다고 하더라구요

60일정도 기간을 주었지만 그래도 아파트 렌트비 올릴때 이렇게 20% 씩이나 한번에 많이 올려도 되는건지 궁금해서 여쭙고 싶습니다.

아파트 렌트비 인상할때 가격은 주인 마음인건가요?

    1973년 이전에 지어진 건물들은 렌트 컨트롤에 적용되어서 년간 최대 4%이상을 올릴수 없는걸로 알고 있습니다.

    Los Angeles – Rent Control Hotline (800) 994-4444 절때 그냥 내지 마시고 싸우세요!! 그렇게 올릴수없는거로 알고있습니다.

    Go to the Rent Stabilization office at 111 N. Hope Street, 1st
    Floor between 8:00 a.m.and 4:00 p.m, Monday through
    Friday. Ask for a CERTIFIED copy of the Declaration of
    Registration. You have to give the lowest address on the
    property. For example. If you live in a duplex at 3345 and
    3347 Main Street, use the lowers address number.

    2. If the Housing Department says the building has never been
    registered, go to the Building Department located at 201 N.
    Figueroa Street, 4th Floor. Ask for a CERTIFIED COPY of the
    certificate of occupancy. If there is no certificate of occupancy,
    ask for something CERTIFIED that shows the building was
    built before 1979 and there are 2 or more units on the lot. You
    are doing this because the unit might be required to be
    registered, but no one ever bothered to register it.
    What are the primary benefits of being under rent control?
    1. The landlord can only raise your rent a certain percentage per year
    (3% in 1999).

    아 좀 몰 알고 얘기하세요! 1978 년이전에 지어진건물중 일년에 3% 내구요. 그 이후에 지어진 건물에 대해선 계약이 끝난후 주인맘대로 올릴수 있습니다.먼저 몇년도 건물인지 확인하시구요. 잘 댓글 안달지만 지나가는길에 들렸소이다 :)
