경전에 고기 먹지말라는 구절 없다.

A. 예수는 십자가에서 죽었고, 붇다는 80 살에 음식(고기)중독으로 열반했다.
B. 불자는 일반사람이 하는 낚시, 사냥, 축산업, 가축 죽이는 도살 직업은 가질수 있다.
( 그러나 남들이 안 하는데 불자들만이 하는 살생은 안된다 )
C. 사명대사(유정), 서산대사(휴정) 의 국가방어를 위한 승병의전투는 정당방위이다.

-> 특별히 승려나 법사의 음식 만을 위해 동물을 살해 했다는것을
보지 못하고, 듣지못하고, 의심이 가지 않으면, 먹어도된다.
즉 특별히 불자들만을 위해 도살한게 아니고 누구나 먹는 마켙에서 사다가 요리한 음식은 먹어도 된다.
* 동물의 목숨보다는 사람의 목숨이 더 중하기 때문에
사람을 살리기위해 동물을 죽이는건 허용이 된다.
따라서 사람을 살리기 위한 목적으로는 스님, 법사도 사냥, 낚시를 할수있다.

The Buddha's Last Meal
16. Sure, then, of the Blessed One　's consent, Cunda(사람이름) the metalworker
rose from his seat, respectfully saluted the Blessed One　　　　　　　,
and keeping his right side towards him, took his departure.

17. And Cunda the metalworker, after the night had passed,
had choice food, hard and soft, prepared in his abode (거주하는곳),
together with a quantity of sukara-maddava,

위 의 문제가 되는 단어 해석 -> (38) Sukara-maddava :
a controversial term (논쟁이되는 용어) which has therefore been left untranslated.
Sukara = pig,
maddava = soft, tender, delicate.
Hence two alternative renderings of the compound are possible:
(1) the tender parts of a pig or boar(거세하지 않은 수돼지);
(2) what is enjoyed by pigs and boars. In the latter meaning,
the term has been thought to refer to a mushroom or truffle or a yam
or tuber (덩이줄기 식물).
(truffle ; 알버섯과의 버섯. 4~5월에 모래땅의 소나무 숲, 특히 바닷가에서 자란다.
원래 흰색이나 파내면 갈색으로 변하며, 맛과 향기가 있다)
K.E. Neumann, in the preface to his German translation of the Majjhima Nikaya (중아함),
quotes from an Indian compendium (용어 사전, 명세서, 일람표) of medicinal plants,
the Rajanigantu, several plants beginning with sukara.
The commentary to our text gives three alternative explanations:

(1) the flesh from a single first-born (wild) pig, neither too young nor too old,
which had come to hand naturally, i.e. without intentional killing ;
(2) a preparation of soft boiled rice cooked with the five cow-products ;
(3) a kind of alchemistic elixir (rasayanavidhi)
-> [elixir 1 복용하기 쉽게 몇 가지 성분을 조합한 액체 약.
2 불로불사의 영약(靈藥)] Dhammapala, in his commentary
to Udana VIII.5, gives, in addition, young bamboo shoots trampled
by pigs (sukarehi maddita-vamsakaliro).

위의 내용을 해석하면 붇다께서 부드럽게 요리한 돼지고기를 잡수셨다는걸 알수있다.

I heard thus. At one time the Blessed One lived in Raajagaha,
in the mango orchard of Jiivaka, the foster son of the prince.
Jiivaka the foster son of the prince approached the Blessed One　　　　　　　,
worshipped, sat on a side and said: ‘I have heard this, venerable sir,
that living things are killed on account of the recluse Gotama, and he partakes that knowing,
it was killed on account of him. Venerable sir, those who say,
that living things are killed on account of the recluse(속세를 떠난, 은둔한) Gotama, and
he partakes[(특히 자기에게 제공된 것을)먹다, 마시다] that, knowing, it was killed on account of him,
살아있는 것들을 속세를 떠난 고타마를 위해 죽였다면
님을 위해 죽였다는것을 알면서 먹으면
are they saying the rightful words of the Blessed One and not blaming the Teaching?’
[그들이 말 하기를] 붇다님의 정당한 말이 되고 and 가르침을 비난하지 않아도 된단 말입니까?

‘Jeevaka, those who say, that living things are killed on account of
the recluse (속세를 떠난) Gotama, and he partakes that knowing,
because it was killed on account of him.
They are not my words, and they blame me falsely. Jeevaka,

나는 말한다, 세가지 경우에는 보았거나 들었거나 의심이가면 먹어서는 안된다.
[위에 언급한, 그(붇다)를 위해서 죽였가나 들었거나 의심이가면, 먹어서는 안되고
일반적인 경우는 먹어도된다.]
I say that on three instances meat should not be partaken [<식사 음식을> 함께하다],
when seen, heard or when there is a doubt. I say,
that on these three instances meat should not be partaken. I say,

that meat could be partaken on three instances(세가지 경우),
when not seen, not heard and when there is no doubt about it.
