Popular retail gaming company GameStop has strapped on their jingle bells and joined the holiday hiring push.
The company plans to hire 28,000 part-time employees, with start dates as early as Oct. 18. The temporary positions will have a workweek of 10 to 25 hours and will end Jan. 8, the company said in a release.
GameStop is recruiting for in-store sales and service advisors, consumer electronic technicians within its refurbishment operation center (ROC), and warehouse personnel for the company’s two distribution centers based in Grapevine, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky.
“Hiring an additional 28,000 seasonal associates will ensure we are appropriately staffed to meet our customers’ needs this holiday,” Lisa Keglovitz, vice president of human resources for the video game retailer, said in a statement.
