Job Description: Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Alhambra, CA (Full-time, On-site)
Role Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Green Dining Table, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive quality control procedures throughout the various stages of food production, from preparation to processing and packing. The primary goal is to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements while upholding our commitment to delivering top-quality food items.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet established quality standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with FDA food regulations, cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines. Ensure that all products adhere to these regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control tests and inspections. Document any deviations from established standards and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
Analytical Skills: Utilize investigative techniques and statistical quality control methods to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues. Develop control charts and use data analysis for continuous improvement.
Communication: Effectively communicate quality-related findings and recommendations to the management team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and implement solutions.
Training: Provide training and guidance to production and quality control staff to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of FDA food regulations, cGMP, and HACCP.
Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, governmental regulations, and legal documents.
Demonstrated experience in investigative techniques, statistical quality control methods, control chart principles, and quality assurance techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
