Role Description:
Position: Accounting Assistant
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA (Full-time, On-site)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at the Santa Fe Springs, CA location. The Accounting Assistant will be a crucial member of our finance department, responsible for a range of essential tasks and functions that include, but are not limited to:
Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Financial Statements: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Accounting Software Support: Provide technical support and assistance in managing accounting software systems, ensuring their optimal functionality.
General Ledger Functions: Execute general ledger transactions, reconcile accounts, and contribute to the month-end/year-end close processes.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Administrative Support: Collaborate with the accounting team on various financial and administrative tasks, assisting in the smooth operation of the department.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Proficiency in fundamental accounting principles and practices.
Exceptional proficiency in accounting software and bookkeeping.
The capability to analyze financial data and proficiently prepare financial statements.
Hands-on experience in general ledger functions and a firm grasp of month-end/year-end close processes.
Impeccable attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.
Prior experience in the food distribution industry is a valuable asset.
The ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
