Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Execute all aspects of product development from concept to launch, including factory sourcing and onboarding, required research, formula development, and etc.
- Ability to test and analyze new products and samples, and report the outcomes.
- Ensure that existing regulatory and legal compliance are met and stay compliant with new legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage communication with 3rd party clinical research centers and all product testing facilities and accurately record test outcomes.
- Identify relevant products with a keen eye in analyzing market information and researching customer reviews.
- Assist in turning a market and consumer insight into tangible product strategies and business development plans.
- Stay up-to-date on current and emerging trends, and have a clear understanding of competitors and their behaviors.
- Assist in market data analysis to draft product launch plans and provide clear direction for our creative team.
- Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors thru clear, professional, and respectful communication.
- Work with the CEO on a weekly basis to get input on new product development ideas to ensure a maximum level of success with new product launches.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise throughout the product development process.
- Handle any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a product development role
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
- Knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes
- Able to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Adobe Illustrator or Photopshop knowledge a plus
- Experience in beauty industry is a plus
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Create and maintain a PLM system
- Experience with Smartsheet software
- Bilingual (English & Korean) required
Additional Requirements:
- Must have driver’s license
- Ability to safely lift a maximum of 20 pounds
- 10% willingness to travel
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65k- $70k
