Job Description:
The San Jose Drivers License Processing Center is seeking front-line section supervisors. Candidate will plan, organize, assign, direct, and review the work of employees performing driver licensing. Duties include the ability to interpret, explain, and apply various laws, administrative regulations, policies, and procedures concerning licensing of drivers, ability to provide effective leadership, mentoring, and on-going staff development through weekly training presentations. Candidate must communicate effectively to evaluate work performance of assigned staff and work with the public creating a public service image of courtesy, friendliness, efficiency, and effectiveness. Skills to meet the job requirements at entry level are: communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, supervisory and training skills, and planning and organizing skills. A two-part medical and participation in the DMV Pull Notice Program are required for this position. This position is a sensitive position and may be subject to substance testing.
